Profile Information

Marc writes opera, musical theatre and soundtracks for film and animation.

His latest musical ‘Stuck On a Sunday’ has been developed at the Royal Opera House under the OperaGenesis programme for the stage. Work has also just begun on an animated version in collaboration with BAFTA-winning animator/director Marc Craste (‘Varmints’, ‘JoJo in the Stars’). The soundtrack album was completed earlier this year.

He recently completed a month's attachment at the Natonal Theatre Studio and has previously collaborated with David Hare, Timothy Walker, Aardman Animation, Michael White, Guy Retallack and Dante Ariola.

Marc is currently developing a dance piece with producer/composer Bernd Wertz based on their album ''The Island of Furverts'' and writing the music for a dance piece by the Berlin-based Splinter Dance Group which premieres in January.

Other works include the opera ''Last Rites of Cleopatra'' and a musical, ''Burn Me Dead'', inspired by the Russian novel 'The Master & Margarita' and co-written with Tim Phillips.

He is in the final stages of recording an experimental album with Japanese singer Ayu Okakita and has just finished recording a folk/country album with producer Peter Challis and singer/songwriter Lucy Johnson due for completion early next year.

Marc was a finalist in the 2005 Berlin International Film Festival’s VW Score Competition with his soundtrack for Thomas Struck's animation ''Hearts'', recorded with The Berlin Film Orchestra.
